Privacy

The first thing I had to sort out with FlexClip was the privacy policy. The track record for privacy is not great for Chinese companies. FlexClip is made by Chinese PearlMountain. This made me somewhat skeptical, but apparently they are GDPR safe and.....

All content that you create within FlexClip including all the assets (images, clips, music) that you upload remain private to your account unless you choose to share it publicly or to specific team members.

We access your content only when you give us explicit permission in order to resolve any issues you have within the application. Ultimately, you alone get to choose who will see your videos and uploaded content.

If you share your productions publicly, FlexClip may use them.

You will always retain the ownership rights to your content, but PearlMountain Limited shall be entitled to a non-exclusive yet perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to all user generated content that you have made publicly available.

Editing

Editing with FlexClip is really smooth; fast uploads, easy access to assets, multiple formats for export, downloading and web sharing. Renders are hardware accelerated, not as fast as desktop editors, but decent speed.

Music, FX, images, and video assets in FlexClip are licensed from Storyblocks, you can use all their assets in clips.

Also, fully AI powered. I wouldn't use the AI Video Generator, but the Text-to-Speech, the Translator, the Image Generator, and Noise reducer works fine.
